About Us

Married in Madison County began four years ago, when couples wanted to know how they could get married in "the most romantic place in the world!" In response, I developed a COMPLETE wedding service, with everything ready-and-waiting for the bride and groom's arrival. Although Winterset is not large, almost any request can be fulfilled.

Winterset and Madison county are situated in rolling hills -- Iowa is not all flat! The hillsides are heavily wooded, making a beautiful landscape both spring and fall. As you meander around the historic town square and browse in the little shops, you are sure to meet friendly folks who want to hear your love story. As for me, I am married with four grown children; a granddaughter lives with us. I've been a community volunteer for most of my adult life, providing committees and clubs with ideas. In my spare time, I am a sales representative for an Advertising Specialties company, and a public relations consultant. I have always enjoyed the excitement of planning and giving parties; so, coordinating weddings seemed like a natural extensions of this inclination!
