Getting Married in Iowa
Iowa has a three-business-day waiting period to obtain a wedding license. The application must be requested from the address below. (Due to state requirements, I cannot furnish this application). Complete the form and return it to the recorder's office. It will waiting at the courthouse when you arrive. You may pick it up there, or I can bring it to the ceremony.

Getting to Winterset
Winterset is approximately 35 miles west and south of Des Moines, Iowa; 13 miles from Interstates 80 and 35, at the intersection of Highways 92 and 169.
The Des Moines International Airport is also 35 miles from Winterset, and is serviced by most major carriers. Car rentals are available at the airport.
